Vintage Manuscripts to be Auctioned Online (Press Release)

Reston, VA – January 26, 2009 --- SuperiorPapers.com, a trusted name in custom essay writing service in the U.S., recently announced that it will auction its collection of antiquarian and hard to find books in the first quarter of the year. The auction is set to achieve a $40,000 sales target in which half of its proceeds will go to charitable institutions as part of its commitment to social service.
The collection includes literary treasures about arts and literature which dates back from the age of Renaissance. There are also limited coffee table books, ephemera and pop-up books which came from South Africa and the Middle East. Other interesting items include vintage volumes of encyclopedias, comic books, books with intricate cover designs and first editions of famous novels like “Ulysses,” by James Joyce.
Prior to its announcement, SuperiorPapers had already submitted its general guidelines for interested bidders. The following is an outline of the complete version posted on the site’s auction advertisement page.
Auctions
• Auctions will last from 15 minutes to 14 days from the initial listing of the manuscript. Bidding will be terminated automatically at the end of the auction.
• By the end of the auction, the highest bidder will be notified by email. The results will indicate the final bid price and the complete bidding history.
Bidding
• When viewing the item, bidders can place a bid by using the online form found on the lower portion of the site’s page.
• By placing a bid, the bidder agrees to an irrevocable offer to purchase the item at any price up to his or her maximum bid amount.
• Once the bid is confirmed, the bidder will not be able to retract it. (Exceptions are posted on the site’s auction advertisement page)
Proxy Bidding
When placing a bid, a bidder must enter the maximum amount he or she is willing to pay for the item. The amount will always be held in secrecy. Whenever someone places a bid, an auction software will automatically enter the lowest possible bid for the bona fide bidder up to his or her maximum bid until he or she wins the bid.
