BlueStar: The Turkish hacker // for Islam: The new Polat Alemdar, plus: Kurtlar Vadisi on Google Video!
i don't really know how I ended up here, but there was a barrage of patriotic Turkish music and the following message appeared:
Mass Attack..!
Hacked By bLueStar
Turkish Hacker//FOR ISLAM.

I mean, what can I say? Clearly this guy has the right attitude about the life in 21st century Anatolia.
bLueStar also did the sig up there in the corner of a forum banner. So I might be blowing all this out of proportion. But the awesome music made me laugh.
If you had a half dozen Turkish hackers for Islam, you could seriously start some shit. Fuck yah.
I actually get quite a few hits from Turkey every month, probably due to the other material here about Sibel Edmonds and the American-Turkish Council espionage scandal that no one really knows about.
However, having known a few Turks, I think they are a good people and I like them more than the Kurds. For all the espionage scandals around Washington, it seems like a lot of typical bribery stuff and not very violent. They are trafficking a lot of narcotics to finance the state (and its military-industrial complex) but they have basically been a loyal ally of the United States through many decades (against the Russians), which is more than you can say for most countries.
Also Turkish people are generally attractive and stylishly dressed. And they drive BMWs when they can. Fortunately the Kurtlar Vadisi TV series has a lot of episodes on google video, because Kurtlar Vadisi Irak (Valley of the Wolves Iraq - the one with Gary Busey and Billy Zane as "cartoonish evil Jew and American") was an awesome movie, as we previously reported. (that post actually picked up interesting international comments that got nuked when i switched servers)
Sam Marshall (Billy Zane): Stop pestering me! Just lay off! I'm -- y'know how taxed I am? Ya got any idea? Stop bugging me about these trivial matters.
The Doctor (Gary Busey): All I want is for the prisoners to be treated well. I need them. I don't care who you kill, why you kill 'em, how many you kill. That doesn't matter to me. But if you're going to bring me bodies, I need you to order your men to stop shooting them on the road! I need the organs ALIVE!
Sam Marshall: When Jesus departed this world, he gave it to you. And we've been chosen by him to show you the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Doctor: Well, I have no objection to that, but my people are the only people who made a covenant with God. And because of that, he anointed us to be the chosen ones. How can you beat that?
Sam Marshall: Morphine.
Fair enough! According to Wikipedia, "The US Army recommended that Army personnel not watch the movie nor even get close to cinemas in which the movie is played. "

Polat Almedar: He gets the chicks, rolls in a Beamer and always has a crisp collar.
In the course of the series, Polat started as a secret agent and entry-level gangster who goes on to defeat the Illuminati, the Mossad, and finally the Kurds. Now that's what I call television.
If you have any doubt about why Kurtlar Vadisi was Turkey's most popular television show ever, (ratings share of 46%!!!) this clip literally blows it away:
