Whichever day that is. In these dark months, you get the drift of active time, as your circadian rhythms get farther and farther from the intervals of natural light.

At least, I sure do, since my job does not require me to show up anywhere at a certain time every day (besides at my computer to send out the Morning Report).

Don the Drug Smuggling Cowboy.

I received a total of fifteen years for my crimes. Under current law, it would have been much more, perhaps in the neighborhood of twenty years, and I would not be eligible for parole. My children grew up without a father and bear the scars even today.

I think it fair to say that none of us emerged from this business unscathed.

I think it is also fair to say that we all – the smugglers, the dealers and the whores – have been replaced, and that a similar or worse fate awaits the present day crowd involved in the business. And then they will be replaced.

Don Henry Ford is really cool. He wrote stories about his times as a drug smugglin Iran Contra cowboy. And tells everyone good stories @ the Agonist. All right: Cinco Puntos Press: Portrait of a dope-smuggling cowboy by NarcoNews

Speir Publishing runs the fictional account.

Cinco Puntos Press: CONTRABANDO: Confessions of a Drug-Smuggling Texas Cowboy

Reviewed: Austin Chronicle:

He spent seven years smuggling marijuana into the United States over the border from Mexico and somehow lived to write about it. From the dusty streets of dirt-poor mountain villages to the gleaming corruption of the American justice system, Don Henry Ford paints a picture of a business where no hands are clean – it’s that old song about the war nobody wins, only this time it’s being played out of a beat-up old truck as it heads north filled with dope. All but bankrupted after a failed attempt at cotton farming in the 1970s but in possession of an indomitable work ethic and a fierce desire for self-determination, Ford slips into the role of drug smuggler with a nonchalance (“This is too damned easy”) and an audacity you have to marvel at: He just dreams it up and does it, headfirst all the way. Temerity, Ford demonstrates time and again, is the one compulsory attribute of the drug smuggler, and the one he’s most blessed with. The really remarkable thing about Ford and his book isn’t so much the experiences he’s had – his stories probably aren’t all that dissimilar from those of 10,000 of his colleagues – but rather the humanity and philosophical distance he maintains while having them. His sympathy for the plight of the working poor and disenfranchised, regardless of class, color, or country; his distaste for the indifference of the rich and the laws that favor them; his ability to step back and view the larger universe of the war on drugs, and his role in it, through the lens of a class-conscious, homegrown philosophy: They all mark him as a decent man, regardless of his occupation or criminal record. And I’d be willing to guess this kind of sympathy and awareness is rare among those who traffic in illegal narcotics, rarer even than it is among those who don’t. Don Henry Ford’s no saint and no Robin Hood but at the same time, those expecting the self-indulgent confessions of an unrepentant outlaw will be disappointed: Ford’s harder on himself than the legal system and the drug lords ever were. And it’s to his credit that in a business built on dehumanization, he managed to retain his humanity and conscience and see beyond himself to something larger.

And the Austin American Statesman too.

DailyKos audience don't want to hear about Hillary Iran Contra documents! Still, these damn CIA planes keep crashing with coke in Mexico!

I tried putting the post below on just a few sites. After it got a strong, immediate reaction on DailyKos, the leading liberal mega-blog of our day, I decided that another, more refined post will later be needed to really get over people's bullshit filters. Or better yet, a comical video!

This was a pretty good one! My document dump on that whole Arkansas Iran Contra paper trail thingy pissed off most people who cared to notice at the Daily Kos. Pretty interesting reaction with 150+ comments: Daily Kos: Hillary's skeleton: These CIA Iran-Contra Arkansas docs reveal ugly past

Indeed the post was written pretty much off the cuff. I didn't go stuffing in links that corroborated many basic parts of Iran-Contra. In any case, many people thought that this whole area of skepticism had already been discredited (the conventional wisdom seemed to frame it as a Richard Mellon Scaife-induced Kool Aid episode.) A couple valiant souls pointed out that the broad outline of this shit is well proven, but the crowd wouldn't cop to that reality!

On the other hand, my framing of the whole thing as "rose law firm not really examined" was indeed not quite accurate. This ticked people off. But so did the idea that Hillary is "shady", which I'm surprised the DKos crowd can't handle.

The best of all was when people believed that the whole background of the Clintons in Arkansas was already off the table. And the guy who demanded about 8 times that the whole post get deleted off DailyKos because it was a 'conspiracy theory' article. Didn't have anything better to do on a Friday night.

There are a lot more double negatives to the case. It's a censored government document about a suppressed scandal the media has buried involving a presidential candidate. Therefore, um... it's too crazy to try to put into our conventional frame of reference?

A quality experiment. The people at the Agonist thought it was funny.

For some reason, it got bumped into the Ron Paul forum on the Alex Jones Prison Planet forum. Hillary's skeleton: These CIA Iran-Contra Arkansas docs reveal ugly past

*******

Here is a perfect example of why the Agonist is a good site: The Index of Suspicion: CIA plane and drugs in Mexico | The Agonist. This is the more recent September detainee plane with cocaine in Mexico thing. Usually they are run from Homeland Security contractors nowadays (as opposed to the CIA old days alluded to in my glorious Hillary post).

As long as we are on this, I stopped by to say hi to the biggest damn conspiracy forum on the Interwebs, Above Top Secret, about the same planes:

CIA Torture Jet wrecks with 4 Tons of COCAINE.

And: NarcoNews | Cocaine Jet That Crashed in Mexico Part of Cowboy Government Operation, DEA Sources Claim

Looks like an ICE DEA cutout kind of thing. Way to go federal bureaucracies!

******

In case you have not yet discerned my new pattern, I have decided to step back from being a partisan crusader for a limited set of issues, and instead try to hit a wider target by putting out weird government documents that totally cut against the grain of conventional wisdom, in an effort to rattle the frames of lame ordinary political perceptions.

This is merely the first step in a larger process of action!

(And also there will be a healthy proportion of weird spoofs, like the Telepathy SRI thing. Hell yeah!)

Hillary's skeleton: These CIA Iran-Contra Arkansas docs reveal ugly past

I am crossposting this all over the Internets! Feel free to cross post all of it, yourself!! -D

Many people don't like Hillary Clinton because she seems dodgy and shady. Her background at the Rose Law Firm in the 1980s has really not been examined, because the American press, the GOP and the Democrats don't want to once again wheel out the huge, Bush-powered empire of 1980s corruption labeled Iran-Contra.

However, the truth will reveal itself. The corporate fronts, the paper trails, and most persuasive of all, government documents like these freely available FOIA CIA docs candidly talk about how branches of the scandal were set up in Arkansas. Hillary is not clean here. It's a heavily censored discussion between GOP Rep. Leach of IOWA, the CIA and the DIA. There ain't a real smoking gun, *but* this should be enough to prove to any sane person that *more of these documents are out there.* Can we get some sunshine on this??!! Can we get this into the Iowa scene??

To get this document: go to http://www.foia.cia.gov
Search for "Barry Seal" in the document search box up top.
Select the first result: "BRIEFING FOR REPSENTATIVE JAMES LEACH (R-IA) REGARDING MONEY LAUNDERING IN ARKA"

OR: The whole darn thing can be printed straight off the CIA's website here:
http://tinyurl.com/2kz8fu
Which goes here:
http://www.foia.cia.gov/browse_docs_full.asp?doc_no=0000812916&title=und...
(You can't beat that for credibility!)

The Rose Law Firm set up Trinity Oil & Gas, and one Iran-contra veteran, Al Martin, has claimed that Hillary was counsel on that deal. Webster Hubbell certainly chartered a lot of these 'funny' businesses. (See "The Conspirators: Secrets of An Iran Contra Insider, ISBN 0-9710042-0-X , I can provide scans of the Hillary pages upon email request)

So: This doc asks all the funny questions about those old scandals. More stuff like this has to be out there. The totally uncensored version of this would look bad for both the Clintons. All voters should know about the existence of this document (and documents like this!!).

The journalistic and political problem with this document is that no one wants to go here, so Sen. Clinton is totally immunized from the issue. But at the same time, the full version of this doc, and surely plenty of others probably stashed around VP Cheney's wallet, could get dropped into the media as an October Surprise!

Make your own judgments. The media's reluctance to go back into old scandals and old documents doesn't mean the GOP won't try it on October 25th, 2008. Maybe I'm being too conspiratorial or crazy, but I say, let this document speak for itself!

Ecto beta ate my drafts: that's why it's called Beta, dude

Another riveting tale of Ecto blog software beta testing. Ecto is at Beta 16 now and starting to chug along nicely.

Myahhh... Another day, another pesky beta bug. I don't really think this can be blamed on the developer, though, and certainly when you uses deez Betas, you're gonna take a chance on losing some data.

It seemed that my accounts preference file got tangled up into my instant messenger preferences, which is pretty weird. But it caused the program to jam up after launch without any feedback about what was wrong. Fortunately the ever-verbose OS X Console program told me a corrupt preference file was confusing things.

Moving accounts.plist out of the ~/Application Support/ecto3 folder deleted all my accounts, and blog post drafts, but it also cleared up the situation entirely.

The file had lots of odd text/binary characters in it. Not sure what it all meant. Annoying stuff. In a somewhat fortunate twist it appears that the lost drafts are still hanging around in encoded XML format at ecto3/items , so they are not totally lost to the bit bucket.

As you might imagine, this situation curtailed all attempts at pretty-looking blogging for a couple weeks, while the holidays ran their course.

Everything is pretty cool right now, and now doubly cool because I managed to troubleshoot a naughty application through the Console.

Problem solved. Next time we will tell you how to make Windows Vista Not Suck. Just kidding; that's impossible.

The Second Threat! Evil Research Industrial Complex and its Telepathy-Savvy Schemes of Control!

Admittedly, we're fishing in murky waters on this one. But this stuff is pretty weird. And I am watching the X-Files right now. So there.

The Stanford Research Institute. Their role seems to fall under the totally forgotten second evil complex Eisenhower warned us about! Everyone and their mom knows by now that the 'military-industrial complex' is the root of all the dang problems. I agree with that a long ways.

But recently a different pattern has become apparent: the Doctor Strangelove kind of Establishment Troll. Really, it's an obvious pattern that lacks a name, another shady feedback loop of authority and federal spending that wants to control All of Existence. The Neo-Cons cruise in this sector, but they don't define it.

Eisenhower saw this as a Threat. Let's listen in on that famous speech where he coined "military industrial complex":

.......But threats, new in kind or degree, constantly arise.

Of these, I mention two only.

A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction.

Our military organization today bears little relation to that known by any of my predecessors in peacetime, or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.

Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence – economic, political, even spiritual – is felt in every city, every Statehouse, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central, it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system – ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.

Another factor in maintaining balance involves the element of time. As we peer into society's future, we – you and I, and our government – must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for, for our own ease and convenience, the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without asking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.

Down the long lane of the history yet to be written America knows that this world of ours, ever growing smaller, must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect.

Such a confederation must be one of equals. The weakest must come to the conference table with the same confidence as do we, protected as we are by our moral, economic, and military strength. That table, though scarred by many past frustrations, cannot be abandoned for the certain agony of the battlefield.

Disarmament, with mutual honor and confidence, is a continuing imperative. Together we must learn how to compose differences, not with arms, but with intellect and decent purpose. Because this need is so sharp and apparent I confess that I lay down my official responsibilities in this field with a definite sense of disappointment. As one who has witnessed the horror and the lingering sadness of war – as one who knows that another war could utterly destroy this civilization which has been so slowly and painfully built over thousands of years – I wish I could say tonight that a lasting peace is in sight.

Happily, I can say that war has been avoided. Steady progress toward our ultimate goal has been made. But, so much remains to be done. As a private citizen, I shall never cease to do what little I can to help the world advance along that road......

Heady stuff. So what would the evil scheme of the scientific-technological elite look like, circa mid-1970s? What utopian vision would secure elite control in all possible futures?

Answer: The Stanford Research Institute's "Changing Images of Man", a 1974 classic! It got around on BitTorrent before, with this description:

Changing Images of Man - Stanford Research Institute (now SRI International) released a report in 1974 that has become a classic in the "alternative futures" literature. It has been adopted as a text in non-traditional courses at more than a dozen universities and reprinted repeatedly by SRI. Changing Images of Man explores the reasons why changes may have to take place in the fundamental conceptual premises, laws, attitudes and ethics once suitable for guiding the development of the United States and other highly industrialized nations if a humane (and "workable") future is to be achievable. It discusses the evidence that such changes may be occurring and the possibility that an evolutionary transformation may be underway that is at least as profound as the transition in Europe when the Medieval Age gave way to the rise of science and the Industrial Revolution. SYSTEMS SCIENCE AND WORLD ORDER LIBRARY -- Explorations of World Order 255 pages - 1974, 1982 O.W. Markley, Willis W. Harman (DIGICAM PHOTOS OF ORIGINAL - PDF FORMAT)

Here's the PDF link: DOWNLOAD "Changing Images of Man" (30 MB) in PDF. Check out the site I got it from: “Changing Images of Man” in PDF Format // Skilluminati Research.

There is plenty of weird and creepy stuff in here, but I would recommend seeking out the chapter about paranormal activities to put under control. These guys were doing the research themselves! As some put it, a bunch of evil establishment dudes taking lots of LSD to figure out how to beat the hippies!

Here are some tiny, vaguely menacing JPEGs from the book. I would recommend starting in around Page 80, when the stuff about paranormal ESP and psi phenomenon really gets going. These guys were way into this stuff. (Sorry I can't make these more clear- a software glitch tonight: use your psi/imagination? Or else just go to those barely squintable page numbers?)

See also:

Joe Delgado’s “Physical Control of the Mind” , Willis Harman shows up in the darndest places and Scientists on Acid: The Story Behind “Changing Images of Man” which quotes from something called "Mind Control, World Control":

One associate of Hubbard's was New World Order theorist Willis Harman at the Stanford Research Institute. SRI had earlier recieved grants from the US Army to research chemical incapacitants. When visited by a representative of the underground press at SRI, Harman told the man, "There's a war going on between your side and mine. And my side is not going to lose."

This sounds suspiciously like The Big Lebowski: "THE BUMS LOST!"

Hubbard was specifically assigned to the Alternative Futures Project, which performed future-oriented strategic planning for corporations and government agencies. Harman and Hubbard shared a goal "to provide the [LSD] experience to political and intellectual leaders around the world." Harman acknowledges that "Al's job was to run the special sessions for us."

As a bonus, today's post includes the profoundly elitist "The Crisis of Democracy; Report on the Governability of Democracies to the Trilateral Commission" by Samuel Huntington and other suspicious eggheads. I have to throw in some more nuglets from those dang Skilluminati: PDF: DOWNLOAD "Crisis of Democracy" -- 1975 Trilateral Report

The Democratic Challenge to Authority

The essence of the democratic surge of the 1960s was a general challenge to the existing systems of authority, public and private. In one form or another, this challenge manifested itself in the family, the university, business, public and private associations, politics, the government bureaucracy, and the military services. People no longer felt the compulsion to obey those whom they had previously considered superior to themselves in age, rank, status, expertise, character and talents. Within most organizations, discipline eased and differences in status became blurred. Each group its right to participate equally -- and perhaps more than equally -- in the decisions which affected itself.

A Question of Vision

What is in short supply in Democratic societies today is not consensus on the rules of the game, but a sense of purpose as to what one should achieve by playing the game. In the past, people found their purposes in religion, in nationalism, and in ideology. But neither church, nor state, nor class now commands people's loyalties. In some measure, Democracy itself was inspired by manifestations of each of these forces and commitments.

Protestantism sanctified the individual conscience; nationalism postulated the equality of citizens; and liberalism provided the rationale for a limited government based on consent. But now all three gods have failed. We have witnessed the dissipation of religion, the withering away of nationalism, and the decline -- if not the end -- of class-based ideology.

The Dangers of Freedom

The democratic spirit is egalitarian, individualistic, populist and impatient with distinctions of class and rank. The spread of that spirit weaks the traditional threats to democracy posed by such groups as the aristocracy, the church and the military. At the same time, the pervasive spirit of democracy may pose an intrinsic threat and undermine all forms of association, weakening the social bonds which hold together family, enterprise, and community. Every social organization requires, in some measure, inequalities in authority and distinctions in function. To the extent that the spread of democratic temper corrodes all these, exercising a leveling and homogenizing influence, it destroys the bases of trust and cooperation among citizens, and creates obstacles to collaboration of any common purpose.

Now that's what I call some authoritarian discourse! So apparently all this utopian stuff comes from a bunch of Theosophists, the mysterious super-religion invented by Madame Blavatsky...

Anything about Theosophy gets pretty weird. It's like Scientology minus the lie detectors and Applied Satanism? But Scientologists were running the remote viewing programs at SRI too apparently... I think I'll stop there....

In any case, I found this stuff to be a classic angle on the exact evil Second Complex of Scientific-Technological Elite and their plan to dominate public policy! Which Eisenhower warned you about, and all your acid-dropping Hippie Professors forgot to teach you about too!

The plan has a second face, indeed, General Eisenhower!

Atmosphere puts out a free holiday album

Good news from those underground mandarins around the corner: Atmosphere put out a free winter album dubbed "Strictly Leakage". Also interesting is that Ant, longtime Rhymesayers beat producer, is featured up front. He has been on stage a lot more as well, although once upon a time he seemed a very reclusive and mysterious figure, to be rarely sighted at First Ave like Waldo.

Download it from this page. And check out the funny fireside chess game video. The fire is a TV screen, i almost missed that. Very post-Minnesotan really.

The new Atmos EP "Sad Clown Bad Winter 11" also has some nice tracks but I haven't heard the whole thing yet.

As long as we are on the subject, Aesop Rock's None Shall Pass is... yet another Aesop Rock album. It will probably take about a year for me to get it.

Winter Solstice: Time to pivot!

A hearty welcome to Zuma, a fellow Agonist.org contributor with a background in aviation and stuff. Zuma was at Miami International during Iran Contra, and anyone with this in their life story can frankly post whatever they want (within the Bluehost usage policy):

Rex Wheeler was the head of security [at TAMPA Aviation]. I noted the autographed framed picture on his wall -of George Bush. I noted the confusing mystery of it all even though privy to much private documentary activity, even officially as I was the consulate courier among other duties. Ostensibly TAMPA, like dear ol Dad, was on the side of the good guys. I still believe that, but do know there were those within not playing by the rules or on 'our' side. These were the Iran-Contra era circumstances...
I'll tell you now, there is for me no index of suspicion. The CIA is in the drug business completely. -Down there. All of us in Cockroach Corner at Miami International Airport knew who Southern Air Transport was. That may have blown their 'cover' but they could not so quickly suspend activity. Their activity was twofold and quite contradictatory. Interdiction *and* facilitation. In short, manage those who were allowed and disallow those who were unmanaged. Not just any pirate could run drugs. Who was to decide? That was the prize and question.

I am planning to launch a few new websites very soon, and it's just this kind of story we are going to be looking for. More on that 'pretty soon'.

*******

Tonight, I finally got around to fixing all off Drupal's version update woes, and that alone makes me feel better about putting effort into this site. I also finally fixed the Blog URL pathauto problem that was making dumb brackets whenever anyone made a blog entry.

I have to admit that I have not been entirely honest with the readership of this weird old website. I have been posting rather goofy posts that are intended to obfuscate more than enlighten, skimming over many stories in the usual haphazard way, kind of devoid of the usual structure I used to put into it.

Basically I have been putting more chaff than wheat into my posts @ hongpong.com. For the last couple weeks I have been working on a really major, off-the-radar story in Minnesota, and I haven't even crossposted it here because I am trying to focus the energies of the Google on where the story is posted @ my day job, PIM. So I put up goofy posts that drifted into collections of goofy alien stories, which are of course one of the Internet's old school goofball themes.

*******

In any case, that kind of stuff does not really have an 'axis of action.' It's just random sentences, linking out to somewhere, for some poorly articulated reason. Not a great use of anyone's time. I'm developing a Whole New Theory of Action; implementing this plan would be the point of the new websites.

Also, the last months, years (?) have not exactly been salad days* for my ability to communicate clearly with my regular circles of friends. Part of this is the typical breaking-the-ice social anxiety, which I usually can dispel with after the second beer.

But, also, (you'll laugh at me) a good chunk of my anxiety came from the fact that my old cell phone had really fuzzy sound. It was hard to have a good conversation when it was that fuzzy. That, combined with the deceptive horrors of Sprint billing, seriously curtailed the whole 'talking' thing for me. Fortunately, I have just gotten a spiffy Helio Ocean for Christmas from my folks, and so far I am very happy with it. With a little luck, I will actually begin to *call people* again.

*******

Of course, the dark winter days are always the worst for me. I am glad I got an apartment with good West-facing sunlight this fall. My mental state isn't 'horrible' at all; I'm not feeling agitated. It's mostly the usual winter blues.

The winter solstice is here. Only two years ago, I was at a funeral for my friend on the very day of the winter solstice, and it was not a coincidence. People look for stuff to kill the pain in Minnesota at this time of year, and it is possible to go too far.

Do not let your friends and family abuse painkillers at the darkest time of year.

*******

This post went a bit grim. I have to stop on the solstice milepost. And I am not trying to freak anyone out. It's more that there has been a morose drift to my general lifestyle, and an accordant silly half-assed blogging counterpart. I feel like I have really pretty much hit the bottom and I am drifting back to a better frame.

I definitely feel like there is a good pivot opportunity right now. I have to clean the hell out of my apartment. I washed the bird poop off my car today. I can do the dirty dishes. I can expose the fake War on Drugs and bring down the Man.

This has been a great week, really. Over at work, we are locking in new advertisers and finally rolling in some revenue. I have exposed the NAFTA Superhighway conspiracy to the Minnesota political establishment (politicians, Capitol staff, the PR firms, Big Labor, etc.). They've been exposed to the crazy documents I stumbled across, and that will probably help when the Democrats start their huge fight with MnDOT soon (they just launched a new $500K investigation this week).

So thanks again for stopping by. Better things are really close to paying off. (If anyone wants to give me an Xmas present, just sign up for Bluehost and I get an impressive $65 referral. These guys rule.)

Greetings (& Thank You Mr. Feidt)

Dear Dan,

Some times 'the back of the room' starts only the third row back...

Indeed, tonight PBS gave us a documentary on Nader, that pariah of exclusion himself, and elucidated clearly how much support he has had, and lost, and retained, due to his own earnestness. And he's in the second row. Maybe.

I'm all for fact-based communities, and those whom while not necessarily waiting for such clarity of hindsight still admirably toe the tinfoil hat line of discretion most carefully. There is then the rest. Discretion and restraint are admirable qualities but do dampen much reasonable public discourse when taken even the slightest bit beyond their due. The tin foil hat line and the nominal line define between them a broad segment in my view.

I appreciate this site. I just discovered it thanks to your comment on the agonist, and have hardly backread through it all, but have whiffread enough to know it fills a specific bill for me; neither repelled or attracted by issues with magnitudes of audacity or circuitous complexities, or bullhorning simplistic adrenalin-charged dogmas of kneejerk reactionary bellicosity, but rather exercising the freedoms of exploration and discovery in open-eyed fashion for it's own sake. I appreciate this site because if I'm somehow utterly clueless and totally wrong then at least I am fairly sure at least I'll be allowed the above concession. *koff*

I respect all the places I've blogged and posted, but for me, a writing environment is a large factor, and each makes their own difference.

I am here then, with my own words and views, spewed through my own take on your venue as it is (and grows).

Hi.

With regard to 9-11, the third topic I tagged this post with when I began, there are no urls of my own to proffer; I haven't said jack yet about it. It's one of those things one needn't to directly. I've posted links to '9-11 Mysteries', and Loose Change, et al, and one says much in doing simply that, and there's little to add; -I like the effectiveness of the simplicity of the title '9-11 Mysteries'...

'Freedoms of exploration and discovery in open-eyed fashion' I said. Information, like numbers, is an intrinsic thing. Innate to reality and fundamental to our view, the truth of things is ever approximated at, but it has it's own ironclad testimony of itself in the very next moment: like the butterfly effect, what actually has occurred is what everything that followed was predicated upon. A butterfly flapping it's wings in Chicago may very well affect the weather in China, and it is a trifle difficult to reverse-engineer China's weather to discern some particular butterfly in Chicago, but the chain of cause and effect between the two are still existent to be known...
...Light leaves the planet every day, I like to say, taking with it an external record... etc...
Disinformation is something else entirely. Deliberate disinformation is rampant these days, and more despicable than ever. Sites like Media Matters have begun to take great heat for their efforts.
The levels of BS have exponentially increased so much that we are far from where I'd even begin to speak to the public at large with any comfort level -I am after all, an aging hippie artist, quite homesick in this futureless blot of a future, and quite to the left of the left of those on the left -and yet with that given, I can hardly afford to wait things out and say nothing...
I can speak freely, reasonably here (civilly of course -all the nominal norms of discretion) and that means everything to me.

Even if this is my only post ever here, I am glad for the opportunity to have said what little I have (and in under 9,000 words at that, mind you).

I adamantly believe there are no secrets, and that which is hidden shall be known to be hidden. I have said these 2 things over and over and over.

Personally, that's why I draw (& write); to uncover my own unknown.
I like to know what I'm editing...

Negative Return on Investment Economy: Katherine Austin Fitts and the fake war on drugs

Katherine Fitts knows the Real Deal about the Shadow Economy, Iran Contra stock fraud, the basic structure of the prison industrial complex, and other key areas. She worked in GOP presidencies and observed all the marvelous cut-outs, pass-throughs, cartel rip-offs, overall money-laundering insanity and all the other 1980s-1990s Michael Milken-style insider classics.

After her software started mapping out relationships between mortgage defaults and money laundering (geospatial modeling rendered Los Angeles CIA cocaine operations' capital flows into rather obvious blips). The Department of Justice put a stop to Hamilton Securities and ripped off their stuff.

The theories of how these "waste of money" institutions like the prison-industrial complex are really quite well-designed cash funnels for the usual interlocking bastards. DynCorp and Lockheed Martin entering these areas has not done wonders for their transparency.

(She certainly helped Michael Ruppert get a handle on the Iran Contra cocaine flow from the financial side @ From The Wilderness and copvcia.com. Good times!)

I previously noted Fitts on the famous Jane Cat Witness Drive-By Shooting at MCTC College Next To My Apartment Diagram post of March 2006:

The “Break It-Fix It” Subsidy of a Negative Return on Investment Economy

For several years, I have been studying and writing on the corporate and banking economic warfare model of globalization. Just from a case study of one private investor, Pug Winokur, and his investments in and with DynCorp, Enron and Harvard, examples abound.

- US neighborhoods are overrun with narcotics trafficking and HUD financial fraud while systematically worked by enforcement, seizure and War on Drugs teams supported by DynCorp and generating profits for the Harvard Endowment;

- Latin American pipelines, water and other assets are sold for significant discounts to market value to Enron and other multinational investors while DynCorp helps War on Drugs military teams move peasants off the lands;

- Russian banks and pension funds are emptied out by organized crime and laundered through NY Fed member banks while Harvard as financial advisor helps privatize Russian oil companies over to their endowment investment network;

- DynCorp personnel supplying police and aircraft maintenance are active with local mafia in Eastern Europe and practice buying and selling children as slaves which they use for sex;

- $3.3 trillion is missing from the Department of Defense and the Department of Housing Development where Lockheed, DynCorp & AMS are active managing computer systems and Harvard supplies appointees and contract services.

- Manipulation of the gold markets by the US Treasury and NY Fed member banks are led by Larry Summers, Secretary of the Treasury, and now President of Harvard and his predecessor Robert Rubin, Secretary of Treasury, and now member of the Harvard Corporation Board.

These shenanigans are well documented by a series of courageous reporters and market commentators, including Anne Williamson, Greg Palast, Kelly O’Meara, William Murphy and Chris Sanders.

This tapeworm operates globally. It has been winning at economic warfare because those opposed to it cannot see it clearly and are not yet networked globally to move people, places and capital out of its reach. My pastor, Bishop Alfred Owens, says, “If we can face it, God can fix it.” Indeed, divine authority is hamstrung-- waiting for the necessary global networks to align around a common map of the real deal about global consolidation of economic and political power --- and the resulting liquidation of wealth.

This tapeworm is managed tightly by the cartels that syndicate around central banking and warfare and it has four phases:

- Phase One--Break It: Private syndicates make money destroying a place through organized crime, covert operations, warfare or a variety of both;

- Phase Two- Buy It: The profit generated from breaking it is used to buy or seize “legal control” at a discount;

- Phase Three- Fix It: Government funding, credit and subsidies are then used to “fix it” while harvesting remaining assets, including with narcotics trafficking, sex slavery and any other form of liquidating the human, intellectual, environmental and physical capital in a place:

- Phase Four—Declare Victory: Victory is then declared and a flow of foundation and academic grants funded by the “break it-fix it” profits generate awards, photo opportunities and official archives and documentations for the perpetrators to be admired for their bringing of advanced civilization to the natives.

What emerges from an investment banker’s analysis of billions of transactions involved in situation after situation, in place after place, in year after year, is surprisingly simple.

We are watching a global first world economy that has a negative return on investment.

For example, in 1997 I lead an analysis of US federal expenditures and credit activities in the Philadelphia area for a group of US pension fund leaders. After analysis of the detailed data resulting from $10 billion of government reengineering and $400 billion of federal credit portfolio strategy managed by my company, the evidence was overwhelming ---the federal investment in Philadelphia had a negative return on investment. In short, government budgets were rigging profits and income for companies and people in the area. After each year of government investment, Philadelphia spent more time doing things that were fundamentally not productive and so had been paid to grow “stupider.”

The deterioration in environment, culture, infrastructure and quality of life in Philadelphia that was obvious from walking around the city matched the numbers rather than the spin in the corporate news that the economy was doing well. Equity yields were falling steadily and only cooked government and corporate books could make it look otherwise. The primary thing on the rise was the smugness of the leaders of Philadelphia institutions as their success at covert management and personal “personnel benefits” grew ever stronger.

Dillon Read And The Aristocracy Of Stock Profits
Saturday, 25 August 2007
Column: Catherine Austin Fitts

I made the decision to write “Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. and the Aristocracy of Stock Profits” in the middle of a vegetable garden in Montana during the summer of 2005. I had come to Montana to develop a venture capital model to support a healthier, fresher local food supply. If we want clean water, fresh food, sustainable infrastructure, and healthy communities, we are going to have to finance and govern these resources ourselves. We cannot invest in the stocks and bonds of large corporations, banks and governments that are harming our food, water, environment and all living things and then expect these resources to be available when we need them.

Surviving and thriving as a free people depends on creating and transacting with currencies and investments other than those printed and manipulated by Wall Street and Washington to the eventual end of our rights and assets.

What I found in Montana, however, was what I have found in communities all across America. We are so financially entangled in the federal government and large corporations and banks that we cannot see our complicity in everything we say we abhor. Our social networks are so interwoven with the institutional leadership — government officials, bankers, lawyers, professors, foundation heads, corporate executives, investors, fellow alumni — that we dare not hold our own families, friends, colleagues and neighbors accountable for our very real financial and operational complicity. While we hate "the system," we keep honoring and supporting the people and institutions that are implementing the system when we interact and transact with them in our day-to-day lives. Enjoying the financial benefits and other perks that come from that intimate support ensures our continued complicity and contribution to fueling that which we say we hate.

Standing among the beautiful vegetables and flowers that Montana summer day, I was facing the futility of trying to craft investment solutions without some basic consensus about the economic tapeworm that is killing us and all living things — while we blindly feed the worm. In a world of economic warfare, we have to see the strategy behind each play in the game. We have to see the economic tapeworm and how it works parasitically in our lives. A tapeworm injects chemicals into a host that causes the host to crave what is good for the tapeworm. In America, we despair over our deterioration, but we crave the next injection of chemicals from the tapeworm.

With this in mind, I decided to write “Dillon Read & Co Inc. and the Aristocracy of Stock Profits” as a case study designed to help illuminate the deeper system. It details the story of two teams with two competing visions for America. The first was a vision shared by my old firm on Wall Street — Dillon Read — and the Clinton Administration with the full support of a bipartisan Congress. In this vision, America's aristocracy makes money by ensnaring our youth in a pincer movement of drugs and prisons and wins middle class support for these policies through a steady and growing stream of government funding and contracts for War on Drugs activities at federal, state and local levels. This consensus is made all the more powerful by the gush of growing debt and derivatives used to bubble the housing and mortgage markets, manipulate the stock and precious metals markets and finance trillions missing from the US government in the largest pump and dump in history — the pump and dump of the entire American economy. This is more than a process designed to wipe out the middle class. This is genocide — a much more subtle and lethal version than ever before perpetrated by the scoundrels of our history texts.

This case study provides a detailed example of the financial kickback machinery that makes the process go. It works something like this. A group of executives and investors start a company. Rather than build a business the old fashioned way, company profits are pumped up with government legislation, contracts, regulation, financing, subsidies and/or enforcement. This dramatically increases the value of the company's financial equity. The company and its initial investors then sell their stock at a profit. Such profits replenish contributions made to the kind of politicians who can arrange such government benefits. Such profits also fund philanthropy to foundations and universities that have large endowments that invest along side the investors. These tax-exempt organizations provide graduates to staff positions in the game, intellectual justification to attract popular support and photo opportunities which bestow legitimacy and social stature. Personnel cycle through the management and boards of business, government and academia, as real productivity falls and government deficits grow.

The second vision was shared by my investment bank in Washington — The Hamilton Securities Group — and a small group of excellent government civil servants and appointees who believed in the power of education, hard work and a new partnership between people, land and technology. This vision would allow us to pay down public and private debt and create new business, infrastructure and equity. We believed that new times and new technologies called for a revival that would permit decentralized efforts to go to work on the hard challenges upon us — population, environment, resource management and the rapidly growing cultural gap between the most technologically proficient and the majority of people. We believed that private and public capital should flow to that which was most economically productive rather than be mixed in a complex cocktail of insider deals designed to hollow out the American economy and culture.

My hope is that “Dillon, Read & the Aristocracy of Stock Profits” will help you to see the game sufficiently to recognize the dividing line between two visions. One centralizes power and knowledge in a manner that tears down communities and infrastructure as it dominates wealth and shrinks freedom. The other diversifies power and knowledge to create new wealth through rebuilding infrastructure and communities and nourishing our natural resources in a way that reaffirms our ancient and deepest dream of freedom.

My hope is that as your powers grow to see the financial game and the true dividing lines, you will be better able to build networks of authentic people inventing authentic solutions to the real challenges we face. My hope is that you will no longer invite into your lives and work the people and organizations that sabotage real change. If enough of us come clean and hold true to the intention to transform the game, we invite in the magic that comes in dangerous times.

Yes, there is a better way and, yes, we can create it.

NAFTRACS Strategic Objectives: You're FUcked!

This, people, is from about four pages of One PDF file. Of which I have just gotten about 600 I think. Yes, 5 minutes into this stuff, we're already inside a huge all-encompassing grid of control run by Lockheed Martin. It's like Minority Report, see?

We'll cut our eyes out to escape the "prescence" provided along Interstate 35.

Wow that was quick eh?

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? MORE COMING SOON.

OMG

by the way: I bet hillary knows.

WE ARE ALL MADE OF RETROVIRUSES: Your proteins came from pre-HIV germ line infestations, fragmenting. So re-synth the bugs, say eggheads! Reptilians? Why not?!

"Disabled retroviruses-fossils of molecular battles that raged for generations-make up eight per cent of the human genome." --New Yorker

In the category of awesome stuff, consider how retroviruses have apparently spent billions of years INFESTING YOUR DNA and indeed THE PLACENTA itself descended from VIRUSES. X-Files Black Oil is already here, people!!

How great is that? Feeling weird? It's not Scientology's "Thetans", instead it is the fragmented DNA of thousands of retroviruses that infected someone's sex organs during the last 5,000,000 years. And also these fragments effectively stuff up the actions of many new viruses: this is why chimps don't get sick from human HIV. Some insane old paleovirus (yes paleovirology) actually blocks the HIV from hurting the chimps from within the natural chimp DNA. It integrated to the chimp after they diverged from humans!

All these ancient diseases integrated with humans at such a slow rate, you can pick out the branching points of species' evolutionary chains by the sets of virus fragments their DNA picked up, cruising out the evolutionary tree.

PS who wants a flu vaccine now?

This seems to resemble the upcoming Will Smith flick "I Am Legend" perhaps?

Darwin’s Surprise Why are evolutionary biologists bringing back extinct deadly viruses?

by Michael Specter December 3, 2007

Disabled retroviruses-fossils of molecular battles that raged for generations-make up eight per cent of the human genome.

Thierry Heidmann’s office, adjacent to the laboratory he runs at the Institut Gustave Roussy, on the southern edge of Paris, could pass for a museum of genetic catastrophe. Files devoted to the world’s most horrifying infectious diseases fill the cabinets and line the shelves. There are thick folders for smallpox, Ebola virus, and various forms of influenza. SARS is accounted for, as are more obscure pathogens, such as feline leukemia virus, Mason-Pfizer monkey virus, and simian foamy virus, which is endemic in African apes. H.I.V., the best-known and most insidious of the viruses at work today, has its own shelf of files. The lab’s beakers, vials, and refrigerators, secured behind locked doors with double-paned windows, all teem with viruses. Heidmann, a meaty, middle-aged man with wild eyebrows and a beard heavily flecked with gray, has devoted his career to learning what viruses might tell us about AIDS and various forms of cancer. “This knowledge will help us treat terrible diseases,” he told me, nodding briefly toward his lab. “Viruses can provide answers to questions we have never even asked.”

When the sequence of the human genome was fully mapped, in 2003, researchers also discovered something they had not anticipated: our bodies are littered with the shards of such retroviruses, fragments of the chemical code from which all genetic material is made. It takes less than two per cent of our genome to create all the proteins necessary for us to live. Eight per cent, however, is composed of broken and disabled retroviruses, which, millions of years ago, managed to embed themselves in the DNA of our ancestors. They are called endogenous retroviruses, because once they infect the DNA of a species they become part of that species. One by one, though, after molecular battles that raged for thousands of generations, they have been defeated by evolution. Like dinosaur bones, these viral fragments are fossils. Instead of having been buried in sand, they reside within each of us, carrying a record that goes back millions of years. Because they no longer seem to serve a purpose or cause harm, these remnants have often been referred to as “junk DNA.” Many still manage to generate proteins, but scientists have never found one that functions properly in humans or that could make us sick.

Then, last year, Thierry Heidmann brought one back to life. Combining the tools of genomics, virology, and evolutionary biology, he and his colleagues took a virus that had been extinct for hundreds of thousands of years, figured out how the broken parts were originally aligned, and then pieced them together. After resurrecting the virus, the team placed it in human cells and found that their creation did indeed insert itself into the DNA of those cells. They also mixed the virus with cells taken from hamsters and cats. It quickly infected them all, offering the first evidence that the broken parts could once again be made infectious. The experiment could provide vital clues about how viruses like H.I.V. work. Inevitably, though, it also conjures images of Frankenstein’s monster and Jurassic Park.

“If you think about this for five minutes, it is wild stuff,” John Coffin told me when I visited him in his laboratory at Tufts University, where he is the American Cancer Society Research Professor. Coffin is one of the country’s most distinguished molecular biologists, and was one of the first to explore the role of endogenous retroviruses in human evolution. “I understand that the idea of bringing something dead back to life is fundamentally frightening,” he went on. “It’s a power that science has come to possess and it makes us queasy, and it should. But there are many viruses that are more dangerous than these—more infectious, far riskier to work with, and less potentially useful.’’

This explains pretty much every insane thing I've ever heard. "It wasn't me mom, it was ancient viruses inside me that sprang back to life!!!"

They are like ancient Linux patches that fix you up so you don't get the latest expl0it virus. Literally.

If that is how life really works, then frankly people we have to consider the idea that some of the dumbest conspiracy theories ever. Because the evil Iluminati are actually Different Viruses. Everyone's favorite crazed internet conspiracy theory: "The Elite are Shape Shifting Reptilians from Shangri La or whatever!" takes on a whole different spin. See Wikipedia:

Wikipedia, thanks: Reptilian humanoids are a common motif in mythology, folklore, science fiction, ufology, and the conspiracy theories of John Rhodes, David Icke, and Riley Martin. They are variously said to be extraterrestrials, supernatural entities, or the remains of a pre-Human civilization, and are known by many names, including Reptoids, dinosauroids, lizardfolk or lizardmen.

Alright now google is leading me in weird places: Reptilians and 2012.

And this one, which gets to my favorite conspiracy subject, conical hats:

Delicious: 1973 RAND Corporation DARPA study on Soviet Paranormal Phenomena, telepathy and psychokinetic: That is sweet, people.

Haha sometimes things are just awesome. Wins! From AboveTopSecret.com, pretty much the biggest conspiracy super-forum on the nets!

For a while I have suspected the Russians were into the really cool bio-energy mystery sciences, a subject I cannot believe someone has made a hokey TV movie out of. See February 2006: HongPong.com: Bush stays two steps ahead of secret Stalinist animal-human hybrid program; but Soviet electromagnetic conspiracies surface!

And also see NSA docs & UFOs from December 2005.

There are some fun tales out there about Soviet brainwave magic:

In the late 1960's, Lisitsyn reported that the Soviets had broken the "genetic code" of the human brain. He stated the code had 44 digits or less, and the brain employed 22 frequency bands across nearly the whole EM spectrum. However, only 11 of the frequency bands were independent. This work implies that, if 11 or more correct frequency channels* can be "phase-locked" into the human brain, then it should be possible to drastically influence the thoughts, vision, physical functioning, emotions, and conscious state of the individual, even from a great distance.

It may be highly significant that
(1) up to 16 of the giant Soviet woodpecker carriers have been observed by Beck and others to carry a common, phase-locked 10-Hz modulation, and

(2) such a 10-Hz signal has been demonstrated by Beck, Rauscher, Bise, and others to be able to physically entrain or "phase-lock" the human brain, if stronger than the Schumann resonance of the Earth's magnetic field.

Oh yeah and this too:

The peculiar "nuclear flashes" seen by the Vela satellites in September 1979 and December 1980 could have been due to a testing of a scalar EM howitzer in the pulsed exothermic mode. In the mode, scalar EM pulses meet at a distance, where their interference produces a sharp electromagnetic explosion (hence the "flash", very similar to the initial EMP flash of a nuclear explosion. Even in the vacuum of space, such an explosive eruption of energy from within the local spacetime vacuum itself may be expected to lift matter from the Dirac sea, producing a plasma. Prompt absorption and re-radiation of energy from this sudden plasma may be expected to present nearly the same "double peak" profile as does a nuclear explosion. This was the profile presented by the flashes. Note that the second flash detected was apparently of an "explosion" primarily in the infrared, almost certainly ruling out a conventional nuclear event. It does not rule out, however, pulsed distant holography using pumped EM giant time-reversed wave transmitters.
